The Initial session usually lasts 75 to 90 minutes, depending on the type of therapy. During this time, you’ll begin to get a better understanding of the issues and challenges you’re facing. It’s also an opportunity for you to learn about our approach to therapy. You’ll have the chance to share what led you to seek counseling and discuss how you feel we can help.

6. How confidential is therapy?

Some people worry that a friend, coworker, or family member might find out they are seeking therapy. We want to assure you that your visits to Wellness Counseling are completely confidential. When you complete your intake paperwork online in the patient portal, it will ask for your consent about leaving a message at your home or workplace.
